At the heart of every Promot switch lies our proprietary bi-material base frame — a steel core sandwiched between two layers of engineering-grade polycarbonate. This tri-layer construction delivers unmatched structural rigidity while maintaining the insulation and safety properties essential for electrical fittings.

Unlike conventional all-plastic frames that flex, warp, or crack under pressure, our metal-reinforced base plate ensures modules remain perfectly aligned for decades — no loosening, no rattling, no compromise.

The Problem

Electrical fires cause thousands of casualties every year

Why Thermoset Matters

Most conventional switches use thermoplastic materials that can melt and deform under extreme heat, potentially exposing live terminals and causing electrical fires. Promot’s thermoset material is fundamentally different — it does not melt.

When exposed to extreme temperatures, thermoset chars and self-extinguishes without propagating fire. The live parts remain safely shrouded, preventing terminals from fusing together even during severe overheating events.
